I just bought one-Acer Aspire with Intel Dual Core processor, 2.0 ghz processor speed, 15.6" HD LCD, 2 GB ram, and 160 gig hd. I have heard mixed reviews from absolute best brand to one of the worst. It only cost me $399 with day after christmas sales. I showed up right when best buy opened and got one of two in a community of 100,000. Pretty lucky if you ask me.

On a side note, I am LOVING windows vista home premium. What significant upgrades are there in home ultimate?

I've got an Aspire One for surfing the web when I'm out of town or on the road. IMO, runs Vista a little slower than I'd like. I might try a light version of XP or switch to Linux in the near future. Overall, 9/10.

i loved my windows XP alot more then my home premium vista...it does not resize pics like windows XP did... you need to have a completely different program downloaded.. i still have not found one i trust...and there are other differences too... things they took away instead of adding..so now they hope you purchase... extra..

The only complaint I have about vista in my first day of use is the start menu. I had to change it to the classic start menu.

I agree that I will slowly notice new/missing features. What other complaints/missing features do you have in comparison to XP?

To tell you the truth...hard for me to remenber now...once i get into it i leave the old behind... but i just remenber that being an issue... and then i added a free resizor software and crashed my pc altogether.. so that left a bitter taste in my mouth.. so i only had it a month when i had to call india and had to do a total restore.... lost all my pics.. etc.. xmas day i was on the phone all afternoon to india HP and had to do a total restore again... this time what happened... my text enlarged over night.. got on in am and everything was huge...so big i could not mod etc.. we tried other things first but ended up total restore again... it may just be i have a lemon... or i had a big bug... but all i know is i had windows xp and no trouble for 5 years... and then when it finally went it was the switch on the modem...not anything technical..oh and i am talking desk top pc so that may be the difference too...
