your fastest striker?

out of all the characins you've had that have eaten feeder fish, what's your fastest striker?

my red tail barracuda is small only 3 inches and he's like an arrow, I thought my rainbow (or possibly sp. peru) wolf had speed and skill but he takes a minute to chase down mollies and a couple attempted bites. I literally haven't seen my cuda miss and its like a flash its insanely fast

The only only characins i've kept are armatus and red wolves. The armatus strikes food like lightning while the wolf mows everything down.

Max the GATF is an absolute torpedo, he can move faster than the eye can see.

But for strikes, it was unquestionably my scomb. That fish was a shockingly quick ambush predator. He's really quite impressive.

oof I would love to see a video of that ATF ambushing something, I've seen him in other threads.

I've watched videos of different payara striking but not sure about scomb, its probably quite like the barracuda just points itself and is just in one spot then eating a fish across the tank in a blink
