What type of filtration do you use? Post what you think is best IF you have experienced with multiple systems. What size tank/tanks do you have running? Any additional info about maintenance, if it was a DIY or bought will be helpful for this thread.

DIY sump with auto water changer on 250g - design allows monthly cleaning.

DIY wet sump & off line DIY wet/dry with auto water changer on 80g multi-tank system - design allows 6-9 month* cleaning duration.

* The long cleaning duration is due to the extremely large holding capacity of the mechanical filtration and the water changer. The waste organics are allowed to break down into their basic components, which results in mostly dissolved organics and minimal insoluble remnants. The dissolved organics are flushed out of the system by the auto water changer. The insoluble solids that remain build up over time until the mechanical media is changed out. The water remains crystal clear until the mechanical filter needs attention.

Eheim canisters on the 90G, a combination of Eheim and AC on the 30G, and then 3 small HOBs on the 15G
