hey guys

these are my baby monster fishes at the moment, they will soon be given the appropriate sized tank and if they choose they do not wish to call it home anymore *whip* out they come and they are sold.

my stocking is:

-Petenia Splendida x2
P7020061.jpg

-Vieja Fenestratus (marbled) x1
P7020063.jpg

-Cichlasoma Festae x1
P7020060.jpg

-Parachromis Managuensis x 1

here are some pictures to give you an idea. all fish are roughly 10cm, the festae is growing as fast as the jag at the moment, already we have had a bit of a casualty.
im not sure who caused it but it was caused by another in the tank. in this picture we see that the jags tail has been literally stripped, this happened during the day when i got home from work, so not fin rot or any other kid of fungal infection. The weird thing is that the jag is king of the tank, the festae somtimes spars with him but soon backs down. thoughts please and any thoughts on the fish themselves is much appreciated.

please note that all pictures are my own and straight from the camera. pic of the jags tail was taken from my phone, hence the quality.

Your Jag looks like he was the victim of a sneak attack.
He should be fine. Maybe add a little salt to the water.
Or quarantine him for a while, Till he heal a little.

As for the Petenia, It's a cool fish. What are you calling him.
Hoover, Or kirby.

thanks spike :D

as for the petinia i have two, ones name is snookie (sorry couldnt resist) and the other im not sure. i only bought two so i could grow it out to find the best one

You know, You could just send that jag to me.;)
I'd nurse it back to health.:naughty:
Might take a couple of years to get him up to par though.:liar:

Spike:grinno:

Love the Festae, hes gonna be nice. Not a big fan of a lot of the colored Viejas for some reason.

Love the petenia splendidas. I had one for a while. Named it Predator for the way it attacked and gobbled feeder fish. I'll take the one left over after you pick the best one... I have a 14 inch Jag hybrid now, think it might be mixed with Dovii. I hope it is, anyway. I do think you have a great collection there and good luck with them.
