My severum Corn makes a loud "pop" noise at the surface when he eats, making some of the smaller fish jump. It sounds like one of those plastic shipping bags with the air pockets being stepped on.

The rainbows Salt n' Pepper make a small 'smacking' noise when they jump to the surface and gulp blackworms.

None of the parrots are surface eaters much except Patch. If she grabs a pellet up top it sounds like a burp.

Everyone else is pretty quiet, including Brick. Despite his huge mouth he's pretty precise. He'll grab a mouthful and grind it up. But if he sees loose insects floating around I can hear it in the next room. He'll stick his lips out of the water and suck 'em down with a loud shloop. He often splashes when he eats.

My male nanolutea, who I have next to my bed. He likes to eat duckweed, but only after midnight. Not the best for an already poor sleep schedule. He earned the name "sh*ta**" because I used to scream "shut up d*cka**" at him whenever I heard his unnecessarily loud midnight snacking, so that got picked up as his name, but I already had a fish named dick (son of nick) so for originality and diversity I changed it to sh*ta**. My f3 labiatus is a close second.

I’d say my odoe is loudest eater, it’s kind of a pop with a big splash

Some of my bigger dats tend to make a loud snapping sound when they suck in a pellet....if that doesn't count I used to have a pair of albino Oscars and if the room was relatively quiet I could here them as they chewed their food.

My Balas make a racket with their mouth parts, my lemonfin and tinfoil make a racket splashing at the surface, and my clown loaches do their cute little clickety click thing.

And when I hand feed my giant gourami he makes a very satisfying slurping gurgle sound as he sucks in his food, and on occasion, if I'm not careful, my fingers! Lol.
