Finally got a fish ive wanted for years, a t.mbu! I saw these at maiden head last october when i got my giraffe cat and wanted one then, so 5 months later i went back and just had to have one! I got the most active happy one which was following me all over the tank. Had a great talk with the staff so enthuiastic and polite.

Left a very happy young man :D Hes only around 4" but eats prawn, mussle and other foods, showed me eating a frozen prawn in the shop!

Im so happy had 2 of the fish of my dreams in one week!

lucky you! they are just so cool to look at. and they really interact with you when you enter the room.
My mbu grew like nuts. Purchased him at about 4''. Afther 5 months, he was 10''!

Is he friendly to other fish?

Thanx

Its settling in great! Swimming all over the place loves the room that a 6x2x2 has to offer. The clown loach are obsessed with it follwing it and shoaling with, i think it it just likes the attention lol. Will try for more pix later. The only problem is that i cant afford any more loach for a while as ive spent a lot of money on this this week lol. But after i get a few more loach these will be my last fish for a long while.

that is one awesome fish
and the first pic is too cool

I can remember saying that to myself many times :D

Top notch Mbu there Bog!

Very nice fish! My LFS has a monster Mbu in their show tank. They say he's 32"+ but that seems a bit exaggerated IMO. He's every bit of 26 or 28 inches, but 32 is a stretch.
