Mine are:

1. Brick
1a. Patch
2. Kong
3. Boss

1. Now that Brick is getting huge (more on that later) so is his mess. Now he eats half his pellets then spits the others out in chunks. And of course logs everywhere, especially after a w/c and meal.

1a. I sometimes think Patch stores her mess. Poop everywhere at times even when I feed her lightly. She goes nutso at the vacuum and attacks it.

2. Kong makes 'considerate' mess...he only uses the spot furthest from his eating/resting areas. Makes cleanup easy.

3. Boss catches the chunks Brick spews out because he's too passive a surface eater (he and Brick collide over pellets). He will eat at his own pace but is my 'cleanest' fish. He will clear the sand of food.

A tactic I find works is feeding both fish in the big tank in the same area. 90 percent of the time the cleanup is there so it beats going over the whole floor of the 225. I let Brick spew chunk pieces of medium pellets for Boss since they're too big even soaked for the parrot (his mouth is smaller than Patch and Kong they wolf down medium pellets no prob).

So I basically will feed Brick until he consistenly spits chunks out and let him do it long enough for Boss to get his meal.

Puffers by far. Lb per lb my suvatti is really messy. Pleco style poo and eats like a wood chipper. I'm about to go vacuum shrimp pieces now. It looks like someone stuffed a shrimp with a big firecracker.

At one point I had basement pond with a black wolf, arowana, & some other heavy hitters. Before I did a pressurized filter I had to take a broom handle and stir my bio barrel to break up the crap sticking it together.

Saw a huge gibby plec at a LFS, nearly 2ft long sitting in a pile of waste like a bed. Price on the tank said $300. I said "what the hell for?"

Senegal bichirs, very messy with raw fish! Snakeskin gourami also crumbles pellets which is messy

Lungfish, giant-sized turds (about 6-8x thicker than a bichir poo, how they hell do they get that out?) that have a thin membrane. Over 90% of the time they break that membrane before you can get it out, and you have crap plus the membrane floating everywhere. When eating they like to mash the food, spit out, inhale, repeat.... you so get that too.
