hi guys , as a project i am trying to compile a data sheet of diferant localities of gachua , so can anyone keeping any gachua please try and post up a clear as possable profile shot of your gachua ,ideally with fins spread showing the dorsal and cardinal fins spread . please also include either the exact locality if known ,if not the name used by the exporter / shop .( unfortunatly just gachua is of little use )
the second project i am working on at the moment is to complie a data sheet of all channa species jaw and teeth layout, so if anyone is unfortunate enough to loose any snakeheads this comming year ,can you please either try and take a nice clear picture of the jaw and teeth layout , or if feeling brave cut out the jaw and send it to me ( pm me for address . i can paypal anyone the postage cost over if req,d) , you could send the whole head if squeemish. i will boil and bleach and take some macro shots from there . hopefully it will take a very long time to compile this data and no-one will loose any fish , but will all know it happens and at least we may find out things from the loss so that it is not a total waste .
i will also try and finnish off the snakehead keeping conditions thread over the comming weeks ,which will give us a great referance thread to cover all species of channa and parachanna
many thanks for your time guys , and wish you all a very great new year
cheers col
