Hey,
Just wondering what most peoples water parameters on. Please list your water parameters and what kind of tank you are running. Just want to get a brief overview of the perfect water parameters. I guess I will start it off * Note these are not mine, my new tank is still on its way :( *

For a Fowlr SW setup

Specific Gravity: 1.020 - 1.025
pH: 8.1 - 8.4
Ammonia: Undetectable
Nitrite: Udetectable
Nitrate: < 30ppm

Thanks, Brenden

That's about what my brackish tank is at, with the excption of Nitrate. It's <10ppm at all times. That tank's nitrate is wayyyy to high, its even high for freshwater. Get some purigen!

RadleyMiller - Yes, I thought the Nitrate was way to high. I found those parameters on a website which stated those where the ideal parameters for a Fowlr system. This is way I asked for others to post, to see what the real ideal parametes are.

Thats why you always read multiple sites. I would keep it under 10ppm in any tank.

Agree - Nitrates should be less than 10 ppm - especially when planning a tank with SW sharks/rays.

By the way - a 325 is actually too small for 2 adult brown banded bamboos - which will likely reach at least 36" in length. But for 2 juveniles brown bandeds it should be fine.
