A few months back I saw a larger YoYo loach (what it was sold to me as) for $10, seemed to be a perfect price given it was already about 4.5 inches. When I introduced it with the other loaches (skunks and clowns) it immediately kicked all the clowns out of their cave house. I put a large pvc pipe cave in (5 or 6 inch diameter y connector) and they seemed to lIke it. Now I see the YoYo relentlessly chasing and harassing the clowns (who are all the same size or a little bigger). The clowns don't seem to be suffering to much, but I have noticed their tails are getting "slightly" nipped (very small tears in the v of the tail, and I mean very small). Do I need to banish the YoYo to the darkness of the sump along with the abusive rainbow shark, or add more YoYo for the adult to have in his clan... or not worry about it and throw it up to loaches playing rough at the playground?

I have 4 clowns and 5 yoyo and they seem to get along just fine. Maybe because the yoyo is much bigger than the clowns ? Just a thought

It could be due to their being only one yo yo
Do you have a picture or are you certain it's not another species?

I am not altogether certain what it is... all I know is it thinks it is in control, but it doesn't know the hand that feeds it reigns supreme.

That looks like a mature yo yo
Mine. (5) are about three inches and don't bother anyone but they are the only loaches in the tank WP_20161004_002.jpg WP_20161004_001.jpg
