I just can't eat fish anymore. Having as many fish in tanks as I do, I just look at the fish on my plate and think "you should be in an aquarium somewhere, not on my plate....".

I did eat a lot of salmon and rockfish up in Alaska last summer, but since then, I haven't eaten any fish (or shellfish, even).

i can say firsthand that spotted gar and alligator gar are delicious...i wouldn't eat my own fishes, but these were wild caught in LA--

and i must say it tastes great.
i would think gar do too.
though those are trops..
