would a half mackerel with 8 pound test or anchovies with 8 pound test work best on the river in yuma arizona colorado river for catfish and stripers?

It might work but myself if I am targeting catfish around here ( the mississippi river )
The only line I use is 65 lb test power pro....
You may get by with only 8 lb but it would make me nervousI am not saying you have to use line as heavy as I use but I would up the line at least a little.
