Hey guys,

Just wondering, will I be able to keep a single Zaire blue Frontosa with dats, aro, flagtail ?

I have a grow out tank with 2 dats in, will I be able to have a single front (2-3 inch) grow with them and then into big tank with dat, aro, flag?

Thanks,
Swarsh

Fronts are fairly peaceful fish and I have seen them with aros but they are slow growing so there could be a problem with them getting picked on by the faster growing quicker other fish.

never heard of that combo, my guess is front will get picked on but you never know til you try i guess

Hmm so they are slow growing like datnoids?
my growout is 1 2 inch IT and 1 2-3 inch NGT, so would a 3inch front grow about the same rate?

Thanks,
swarsh

Don't know about the grow out rates but I have kept one dat (4-5inch) with multiple frontosa of various sizes (4-9inch) before with no issues, however I have not kept fronts with the other mentioned fish, I still wouldn't recommend it though. Also while others may have done this you have to keep in mind that each individual fish is different and what works for one may not work for you so keep that in mind.

Yeah true true.
I guess I'll wait and see whether my dats are aggressive first (they seem fairly calm and peaceful, 1It and 1NGT)
I asked a few people and they said fronts can be kept single and should be ok with the dats.

Thank you all for the info,
Swarsh
