Also, I inquired about Cichla piquiti (Azuls), and was told it's a no-go. Permits are too expensive to prepare and send the fishermen to the region. Maybe in the fall. I thought you of all people would like to know.

Yeah, well I wish I had the chance to bring in another 200 of them the way that I did in 2006. I want the fishermen to collect me S. geryi as well as C. piquiti and a few other goodies. We'll see what happens in a couple months. Brazil is getting too difficult to get the rare stuff out of there any more with any regularity.
