Hey guys I'm wondering if it's worth buying a Zaire front at 1.75 inches for 30 bucks a piece??
Also if anyone can identify this front...it might be a Burundi but I just need opinions.. Thanks :)

Yup it is a Burundi and does have mooning. Mooning is the white area on the black stripes. It's caused by inbreeding or poor gene pool. If you just want a front to have in a tank its fine, but I wouldn't pay a lot for it and I wouldn't breed it.

As for zaire, when I have seen f1's available I usually see them for $20-25 a piece for .5- 1 inch. $30 is not bad. If you plan to spend that much on fish you want to make sure you have the proper set up to maintain them for life (I would personally recommend a 150gal long it has better dimensions than a 125gal or larger) and keep up with the water quality. They get big and do best in colony's, so you will want more than a few. When buying fry I always get a few extra than what my target is as nature likes to weed things out or accidents (like jumpers) tend to happen so be prepared for that when investing a lot in a fish. I speak from experience

I've been keeping fronts since 1990 and I still enjoy them to this day! And now we are able to get quite a few different variants like the Mpimbwe blue as well as the Zaire varieties, Moba, Kitumba and Kapampa. Have fun with them and like Ash said, they will get big, especially the males. My Alpha WC moba male is about 12-14 inches right now!
