3rd attempt of posting this. Laptop is very sensitive to movement.:irked:
Anyway, I started last night at my first attempt of a 'Black Water' aquarium, and it looks amazing. (My opinion) Yes, it's just a 10-Gallon, but it is still something! But I can't help but wonder what it would look like in the 60-Gallon...:naughty:
The Goldfish were put in there to make sure that if something went wrong I wouldn't lose to much.;) Its has been over 12 hours with no issues.
The photos of the Zebra Knife were taken while he was in a bowl from "Target", lol. I was trying to move the Zebra Knife into the 'Black Water' tank causing as less stress as possible. I put him in it, because I know that Knives like it to be a bit darker. And he looks amazing in the tank, lol. I wasn't able to get any shots of him in his new setup, because he is constantly hiding in the two back pipes in the back of the tank.:(
Pics!:nilly:

how big is the knife and what did he cost you? was he purchased at an lfs? i'm wanting one of those to complete my KNIFE collection

An amazing fish but i have always put off buying one because i hear they need to be kept in a species tank. What would you say about compatibility with tankmates?

wow, tank looks nice, Gymnotus Pedanopterus is actually one of the few knifes i like (also i like albifrons and aba aba). How big do zebra knifes get?

It depends on what you are keeping it with. Small fish such as Tetras are a bad idea. (food) But large fish are also a bad idea (eat the Knife). My Zebra isn't very aggressive, but he is a fin nipper. He didn't bother any of my catfish (Pictus, and Bullhead) when he was with them, and he doesn't bother the Goldfish. Just depends on the fish.:)

They would def. not get along with CKs and RCKs, because they would end up as food. As for a BGK, I'm not sure. I've never tried it, but it is worth a try.

thanks for the info. i have to find a zebra, first. i never, ever see them around here. perhaps, i'll order one, as you did. i'm just nervous about livestock being ordered and received in a healthy state.
