That is pricey, got mine for 15 USD.
Alright, lets see what I can help out with...
Don't keep them with any fish that you believe can fit the Knife in its mouth. They are very worm like, so certain Catfish, Bichirs, or any aggressive fish should be avoided as a tank mate.
They do well with community fish, as long as the fish cannot fit into the mouth of the Zebra Knife. Zebra Knives will eat any fish that can fit into its mouth, and may even nip at fish that it cannot eat without tearing apart after death. (Personal experience, lol) They are a confusing fish to find tank-mates for. Can't be too large or too small, lol.
And example, I had mine with a few Goldfish, Rainbow Sharks, Shiners, two small South American Catfish, and a Chinese Algae Eater. Small but not small enough to eat, community, non to mildly aggressive. I had him with a few other things in the past as well, but that is just what he was with before he passed.
Make sure that they have a place to hide. A small plastic tube, piled rocks, etc. will work. And also make sure that the food gets to them if there are other tank-mates, seems how they stay at the bottom of the tank... most of the time. And they also seem to eat during the day or night. What ever works, but only once they get settled in. I fed mine bloodworms, but he also ate small guppies/minnows when I first got him.
Hope this helps a little bit, lol, let me know what you would like to know specifically if there is something I missed. ;)
Now, with that all said... any pics? :D

not yet he hasnt although he's only been in there a couple of days so im not to concerned yet, i normally feed my fish on mussels and bloodworm should the knife be fine with this?

ya itllbe ok, icthycolloogy had some fs a while back i believe they were like 20 or 30 USD but i guess they may be harder to find in your neck of the woods, what tankmates?

thanx mate, he's in a 200g with plenty of driftwood etc for hiding places i do have an ornate bichir although i keep him full up on whole frozen mussels and he is far from aggressive, from what ive read online they seem pretty rare in the uk so maybe that explains the price as soon as the little fella is settled i will post some pics :)

Damn, hell of a tank for such a small Knife, lol. Glad to hear that he'll be well cared for. But I would be careful with the Ornate.... what is the size of him?

i try not to buy fully grown fish i find if i buy them young and grow them together they usually get on great, my birchir is around the 10" mark but again i got him young and he's grown up with everyone but thanx for the advice i will def keep an eye on them!
