is a 125 way to small

No, I wouldn't say it's way too small. You could make it work, I think, but it wouldn't be ideal.

There are other pikes like the Inirida species that look almost as good and are a few inches smaller.

There are also a number of very nice pikes in the "saxatilis" group that are very nice looking and even smaller, but not "dwarf pike" small.

Is there any types of pike that you recommend that stay a few inches smaller and can live with severums, bgk, fire eel and a datnoid?

There are some serious pike experts on here. Give them a day or so, I'm sure they will chime in.

Pikes from the saxatilis family like sveni or ring tail pike would be fine in a 125. They tend to be generally less aggressive than their lugubris counterparts. The wetspottropicalfish has Crenicichla proteus and Crenicichla sp. Inirida right now.
