Hi guys, 1st off, happy new year to all, seeing as i aint been around for a while i thought i would say that and 2nd, i was at my lfs the other day and saw this lil fellow http://www.aquaticcommunity.com/fish/tigrinuscatfish.php

I couldnt believe my eyes so ive bought him, im busy sorting a tank out for him in the house as my other tanks are in the fish room and i thought to myself this guy is too good to be in a fish room so i have to have on full display in the home ;)

Im picking him up in a couple of weeks so real pics to follow, he is only small at 5" but is eating allsorts and very healthy. Costing me £160 but well worth it imo. :headbang2 :headbang2 :headbang2

Hi mate, nice pick up,is it a real 5" or 5" including the filaments?
Im looking for one of these too, where you getting yours from and did they have more?
Have you seen the 13" one on aquarist classifieds for £275?

It is 5" all total matey, i would say its really 4" without the filaments. The guy only has 1 in a small tank alone and yeah ive been looking on aquarist classified too and the £275 is a real steal matey i would go for it as its closer to u than me, that size at that price is a bargain as they are worth alot when fully grown ;)

The guy at the lfs delivered him for me today at my request, i couldnt wait any longer lol so he is happily in his new home which aint the biggest atm, with plenty of feeders to see how he eats. Going to get some pics of him tomorrow and get them up for u all, hes a lil beauty ;)

Ive got 1 pic of him in the bag climatizing so i will add that too ;)

Congratulations of getting a tig. They are gorgeous creatures! Try blood worms, pellets, and krill. Mine would only take live blood worms when I got him. He moved over to krill pretty easily, and was just starting to take massivore when I lost him due to bad datnoid taking hiding food when he was full and causing an ammonia spike. :( Stupid dat. Oh, and they also like earthworms. Good luck with yours. I love these guys.

nice cat m8

He a little beauty m8, very active and ate nearly all the feeders allready which in a way is a good and bad sign, good that hes eating well on the 1st night and bad that i dont want him to grow up thinking live fish will be there for him all the time ;)

Gna try him on some squid when he finishes the rest of the feeders off, which will probably be tonight

Well worth the cash and the wait m8, hes the best cat i got so far, but not the favourite :naughty: (YET)
