Has anyone ever seen this for sale? If so, how much would they run for?

Also, what would make good tankmates for these guys? What should I feed?

nope i've never seen them for sale

Tank mates sould be peacful same sized fish

feed it blood worms , brine shrimp , mysis shrimp and other worms and shrimps

Very cool eel, never seen one for sale. Care would be the same as any other spiny eel.

Seen them for sale once, great fish quite rare cost in the region of $40

shouldnt be kept with zig zag eels these guys are peaceful towards their own species so it follows my zig zag eel who in turn bullys it and steals its food. they are usually available year round and are fairly common among importers so are easily ordered into lfs.
