I have a 1.5'' zebra pleco was wondering if i could keep it with other species of plecos..example royal /zebra/ and few other various plecos...def with wood but will it be ok?

Zebras do best in a species tank as they do not compete well for food.

Royal would be a bad idea as completely different diet requirements

yeah i was thinking the same, guess Ima keep the zebra alone

I have some sterbai cory, 8 of them and 10 pygmy cories in with my colcony of 2 adult, 4 sub adult and 9 juvie zebras. They all get along fine. It is true, zebras do not compete well for food, but there have been people who have raised them with other plecos. Zebras like much higher temps than most fish are comfortable with, 84-86°, and they are so threatened in the wild, most people who keep them, breed them. Many breeders will not sell them to you if you are not going to try and breed them. If you ever think about selling yours, please let me know. Thanx and good luck !!
