Hi yeah he is brilliant and you hear such bad things about them aye just keep him well feed and plenty water changes big tank and good filters. Aye got him about 8 months ago he was very small now he is huge he must be growing about 1.5 inch a month I would say

I am expecting aggression to come out, and I will in all probability land up with only one of the Buttis. Just hoping with enough food and good water quality he will coexist well with my geos. I think have enough of them to disperse aggression. They don't challenge him or get territorial.
Funny thing is the larger one has started loosly moving around with the geos, sand shifting with them. I think he actually sand sifts more than my geos. I know in nature they consume snails, so I'm guessing this is how they usually find them.

Yeah they look great well done with the rescue they look good in there nice tank aswell.you hear suck bad things about them but in all honesty the best fish aye have and aye have a big cichlid tank aye have a few monsters in there aye think if you get them yoing enough and grow them together the become a pack if you like realise ranks ect but a brilliant fish aye feed mine 3 times a day in the morning they get pellets dinner time they get prawns and night time more pellets . With weekly 500 liter water changes aye have had no problems they are all brilliant together

White light LEDs work quite well. Enhance colours nicely
