Zombie movie/ book fans

I was having a conversation with someone regarding zombies (one of my favorite novel/ horror flick genres) and how now a days newer novels and movies have supped upped zombies. To my fascination he said that he preferred the classic zombie (i.e. my five year old son could outrun them), as opposed to the "dawn of the dead" remake, "world war z", and "28 days later" (which could have been a cool movie if they took out that whole you girls will now be our baby makers and dress in prom dresses scene) zombies.

I would put a poll to this but I'm lacking the knowledge to input one. If someone could enlighten me , we could put a poll to this.

So do you prefer the original "night of the living dead" slow walking, drooling zombies. Or the crazy fast supped of zombies of modern day.

i prefer George A Romero's Diary of the Dead
greatest zombie flick of all time. but they use classic slow moving zombies with modern handicam work

that was a pretty good movie, but how much cooler/ scarier would it have been if the zombies were fast. Thats what really sold the remake of the dawn of the dead for me, half zombie swinging from pipes at crazy speeds.

Now if zombies ever really came existant I would hope for the slow hobbling kind

I like the slower zombies! but i also like how they r more ferocous in the new ones with there crazy stuff too how they r quiet and like ninjas when they sneak till they see u when they start to yell and screech until they finally catch U

if there is an apocalypse......... I hope it's a Zombie Apocalypse and in that light slow zombies FTW!!!

for entertainment purposes I guess them being fast and ferocious serves up more of a thrill

they're cool but unrealistic to an extent, I mean zombies are decaying what stage in that process gives them super powers?

plus you would have a longer life expectancy with the slow ones, and more cool stories on how you killed em'

Not super powers, but how someone would act if they were rabid, deranged, crazed. It's just scarier when they can not easily be jogged away from. Whats the sequal 28 years later or whatever when they run from the house, cool scene.

Here's another question you perfer only infection by being bitten, or any contact with the infected blood?

Guess it boils down to how difficult you like th opposition to be.

Well if u ingest the blood then yes i think thats fine but idk about jsut gettin the blood on u...if it gets in ur body then its cool but just on u is so stupied... and if there was a apocalypse I WLD PWN THEM ALL i have read the zombie survival guides and watched all zombie movies!!!! I wish zombies outbreaks wld happen once before i die! it wld be so cool!!!

Oh and yes someone deranged wld run like crazy but i doubt decayin zombies cld run due to lack of oxygen to the muscles to keep them goin and the fact that they wld probly have there leg muscles rlly beat bad from bites and etc.

um, I guess. I don't think I could handle putting down loved ones. I might be that crazy person who ties them up and feeds them thinking all the while that they'll get better with my love and prayers
