Zonatus Catch locations?

To my knowledge the the zanotas from the rio de Los perro show more red on the top half of their body than some other variants.
They live side by side with Trimac cichlids in the river and astyanax tetras. I'm not 100% sure but I think poecilla Gillii can also be found there.
 
I know a bit about zonatus in general but not the different catch locations.
It's muddy waters anyway.
I think the zanotus group are a little unclear in some locations. Collectors are not always sure if they have a new variant or a natural occurring hybrid. Guttulatus, spp coatzacoalcos and zanotus have been in an unclear state for some time.
Very simular looking fish with the chance of hybridisation must make identification a nightmare.
