Zonatus Skin Problem

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He is eating just fine and has had this skin issue for months and it slowly progressed. I would say he got a little better but not much since isolated

Great website! Did you find that "catemeco fenestrtum" under skin disorders?

"catemeco fenestrtum" Is a fish. That is what I would guess. How do you know that it was/is a Zonatus? Cause to me, it just looks like its peeling or morphing into its finally colors.

Here a pics of my Catamaco, going from the youngest pic to current.

@ Madness that is kind of what I was think as well. I'm pretty sure that it is a Zonatus but first time raising them. Could this happen with a Zonatus? Would it be male or female specific? Here are some pics of his brothers/sisters, BTW I love my new camera!!

Lokks like it's peeling could be a hybred of some sort.

they are pure from fsirisco

I agree with Madness, looks like it is simply morphing/peeling. If the fish is otherwise eating well & acting normal I wouldn't worry about it. This does not appear to be any type of disease.

It honestly does look like a Paratheraps fenestratus "Lago Catemaco" You can see some other color morphs of the Catemeco fenestratus variant in the link below.

Perhaps one ended up in your order by accident - have you checked with the seller?
