Zungaro Marble Catfish

any got any info about it? i tried googling it up but i didn't get good results.

btw, it's been a while since i've posted! thank god i'm already on vacation!

If your talkin about Zungaro zungaro/Jau planetcatfish has some info on them.http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=zungaro+zungaro. Mkman has a Jau I believe as well as a Brachyplatystoma Filamentosum. He should have some personal experiences with the Jau.

Gets over 4 feet, and looks awesome!

They have several large stripe/spots/marking, but they decrease in size and they gain a LOT more as they age.

hmmm.... i dig the juvie pics. perhaps thats where they got the "marble" in...

but if it's the jau, man it'll really be a monster.

oh well, i guess i hafta wait 2 more weeks before i get home and take a glimpse of that baby

i've pmed necrocanis already but not reply yet. got any news about our resident cat guru? haha. i've been away for too lang demn! haha

I think Necro is working, he does like 5 days on and 5 off or something like that... it's been a day or two since he's posted so chances are good that he's working LOL

Nah that's not jau or fila looks like a bumblebee cat. Looks like it could be this one http://www.planetcatfish.com/scripts/clog_link.php?q=pseudopimelodus+schultzi if not just go to planetcatfish and use the search and type in bumblebee. I think it's gonna wind up bein one of them.

I have two, one about 9" now and the other 7" and growing fast. They eat a lot and will eat larger fish, for instance my larger one ate a barracuda 2 inch's longer.

tripletail and necrocanis has jau. They also have filamentosum, I have filamentosum too.

Jaus are very aggressive but the pic you posted is not jau.
