I've had this fish for about a year and a half in a 90 gallon. now I'd like to think he's maxed out size wise. He's rough >12". Currently battling a little cloud eye but it's getting better. Fish has decent kok size, color, and fins to him. Also just switched foods to hikiri blood red parrot and I've noticed a slight increase in red color. For an $80 fish I really can't complain how he came out. My avatar can be used as a reference from when I got him until now.

Great job raising him to that size, he looks good. Keep feeding him hikari blood red pellets since you already see the results. GS red is good as well but the only bad thing I have to say about GS red is that they only make one size which you will have to throw a ton of pellets to fill a >12" flowerhorn.

Couldn't agree more and the simple fact they don't make sinking. After about 8-10 months with sinking hikari pellets he's had to adjust a little to the floating. Other then that I'm happy with the results and he seems to enjoy them.
