so i was given an unknown type of flowerhorn a couple weeks ago and iput it in my tank with my 2 zz fh and dont ya know the bigger zz was a male and the unknown fh was a female and have since paired, there nothing special like some i have seen here on the sight but its my first time breeding fh so i am going to try it out and see what the out come is. my male is probably a AA zz fh, i will post pics tomorrow along with any egg action i may find. her tube is down about a quarter inch. now its the waiting game.

so i cleaned the tank today and did some re-arranging, debating on weather i should take out the breeding pair of pike cichlids that are also about to drop. i have a natrual border of flowers and plants in the middles and they tend to stick to there own sides (well the females do) the males tend to push each other any advice on weather to leave them or seperate them? the pikes are about 4 inches, and the male fh is a little over 3 while the female is just 3 inches. should i take out all the decorations and put the pikes in my other fifty five? and leave a couple flat rocks like i see most fh breeders do? any advice would help...

so i seperated the pike cichlids from the flowerhorns and as soon as the water settled they had both laid there eggs. here are some pictures of the flowerhorns, i know there nothing spectacular but hey for my first fh breeding experience i am excited.100_5421.JPG100_5422.JPG100_5417.JPG
