ID Malapterurus Electricus or Malapterurus Microstoma

I am no expert on these. The snout might be elongated, which, if memory serves, would be more characteristic of microstoma.

Out of water pics are undesirable for an ID.

Last I knew the 1-species genus of ecats went to 19-species genus and most pics were not available to ID all 19 species and out of those that were available, most were not different enough for my eye. Hence, I never bothered.

If it is that important to you, perhaps get the ID key from the latest revision and try to apply it to this fish.
