I just have 1 question:
Why in the hell should they give any of their hard earned money away? These "poverty stricken" ppl didn't do anything to deserve a handout. Would anyone here give away a quarter of their gross yearly income? Absolutely not! And if you say you would you are a damn liar.

Having the life I've had, And if I was making 3.5million dollars an hour on just interest, you bet I'd be willing to give 25% of my income for a year.. If not more. How can you compare any of us to the 5% of the richest people (who own 95% of the worlds wealth). They are on a whole other level of living life on this planet... Unless you attend the Bilderberg meetings, you can't even understand the wealth (and influence) these people have.

China is not a true communist system ( there hasn't really been one, only corrupted versions) . It is a republic...kind of like........oh yes...the USA...and it is increasingly becoming a plutocracy.
In history all republics fail.
"by the people for the people of the people"....is by definition a very socialist statement.
The argument that China was not a true communist government is a laugh and an apologetic view of the communistic ideology. To be truthful, the church in Acts is a lot like the communist system...except that has a godhead. If you replace that godhead with a person, a committee, or even a majority of people, the system breaks down. The idea completely ignores the nature of men and can not work. As for republic, in history, ALL governments eventually fall, so what is your point?

There is always someone who wants to rule the world and there always will be people that will. If those 100people give their money away, then the 100 next richest people in the world will have their turn at ruling the world. Money influences politics, wars, television. Everything is about money. Someone is making money from people starving in Africa. Its an endless cycle, and one thing more then anything in this world gives you power and its money. as long as there is rich people that means that there will always be poor people. War is profitable, there is always a loser. I may be negative but i truly believe that there will never be equality in this world, because ultimately someone wants to be on top.

After all there is always someone greedy enough to be the richest man in the world.

There's nothing more enslaving then money.

I find it funny that two members who are from two different countries, both of which have tried a marxist/communist type of government are giving their input. Yet, as ecoli perfectly put it, the Western Left is naive about it and laughs them off, just saying that their counties "didnt do it right." Its NEVER worked, never will.

Flowerpower, I hear North Korea is great this time of year.

China, under Mao, was a dictatorship ( cult of personality/gang of four etc)
It is a republic, its in its name (the people's republic of china) The US is a republic.
Throughout history all republics fail. To reply that 'all governments fail' is a trite answer that tacitly admits no knowledge of political world history.
Communism is an ideal that probably ( as said) due to human nature, could never work as envisioned.
Democracy is the same, originally designed for a society of 5000 people.
A church was mentioned above. Would Jesus have been a capitalist or a socialist I ( rhetorically) wonder?
Revolutions happen when the people have nothing left to lose.
In France, or Russia, or China, or Cuba, or anywhere else , those revolutions didn't happen out of a clear blue sky, they happened because of massive inequality. Similar levels of inequality are being approached now globally, now with plutocrats instead of aristocrats. Why should the final results be any different if the path is the same?
Please tell me why someone can make 3.5$ mill an hour doing nothing except speculating is worth more to society that (i.e.:) the doctor or nurse that brought each of us screaming into this world? or the guys that bake the daily bread or clear away the garbage? I wonder which of them society could do without for longer?
