Fishing season 2k14!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just pulling my boat out of Erie for this year. Went out for a few hours this morning and caught a single 16" 5 pound SMB which oddly is the same fish and around the same size as the first fish I caught in Erie this year .


Going to go put it in the allegheny river tonight and possibly tomorrow as well for some catfish since it's only 10 minutes from my house.

The River let me down yesterday, again. Went out from 4:00-9:30 on my boat and anchored near a bridge pylon for most of the time. Only caught one fish although it was nice so I can't complain that much: 22" 6 pound Channel Cat on chicken liver.

Took my lad fishing for small carp today we had a blast , nothing big this time but constant catching small carp on good old simple floating bread on a hook (simple but very effective at this pond )

Floating bread on a hook is brilliant bait, have caught some screamers on it!

Her there's loads of carp between 2-5lb in there its a flooded quarry very deep , I've had some double figure beasts in the past out of there but it takes best part of a day to get a decent run fishing off the bottom and the smaller fish always find the bread first of the surface :banghead: and we only had few hours before the match so floating bread it was , my lad loved it though even if my landing net stayed dry all day lol
