Has anyone tried quite specific shaped tanks, such as 60inch length, 10inch width and height, roughly 25 gallons for instance; for stuff like shell dwellers or other?

I quite like these type of tanks, just wondered if anyone had anything to share.

I've never seen the 60" x 10" x 10" tank before but I do have the 33L tanks which are approx. 48"L x 12.5"W x 13"H and make great shellie tanks.

I use to have a 30 long that's 48"x12"x12". It was a very cool tank but my bro n law really wanted it so ended up giving it to him.

Hello; I use to see similar tanks that had partitions and were used to keep male bettas. They were not five feet long however.

The low height tanks make wonderful planted tanks. I have a 72inch by 30 inch deep by only 16 inch height and it is great. I can use two 4 foot dual t8 shop lights and grow just about any plant. I have a few 33 gallon tanks (4 foot) that make excellent planted rainbowfish and tetra tanks.

I also have a few odds and ends that were designed for reptiles, very low height that are great for killifish and small tetra's.

Dustin on Dustins fishtanks on youtube just did a fishroom tour of Mike Hellweg and he has several small (height) tanks used for killifish and teta's also.

I had one of those betta tanks with partitions back in the 50s, think it was made to hold 6 male bettas (maybe 8" or 10" for length of each compartment).
And a friend (member here) from Chicago, has a 40 or 45 gal long (a very shallow tank), that he uses for shellies, and it works well.

That would make a great river tank.
