Is there a difference between candy stripe and clown?
Clowns(Panaqolus Maccus) were often confused and called Candy striped(Peckoltia vittata) which has similarities in basic looks. Even today some still call clowns as candy striped.

My edit time expired.

Candy striped are white-ish with fairly large black stripes. A Clown is blackish with white-yellow thin stripes

So he has been in the tank for about a week and settled in nicely. He is still a brownish color with creamy white stripes. Can't really get a pic of him because of where he hangs out.

A nano tank might not be great for a pleco purely because they're messy fish. Other than that, a tiny fella like a clown would be fine in a small tank.
