nice progress, you could also try small ghost shrimp and guppies. I used to feed mine them and they loved it, along with protein pellets.

haha i was thinking about doing this with both of my 65 gallons yesterday, making a 12 x 3 tank with viewing windows on both sides.

that might be it, mines always had at least 1 other fish with him and he rarely shows any inclination to hide from people, or it could just be the way your eel is, or he may grow out of it when he's a bit bigger.

probably not bad for them, but i used to have to boil and remove the shell for our old goldfish, (read somewhere thats what you should do) and never got out of the habit. plus if the shells off the other fish can nibble at it till the crayfish gets there.

wow, this has happened to me before as well, except i fed saltwater yabbies. Do a decent water change and gravel vac, hopefully it'll clear up after a day. Shat myself when it first happened to me, and the water went white after the water change but cleared up in a few hours, no idea what causes...

how heavy are they? they've gotta have enough weight behind them to stop the eel playing better homes and gardens inside my tank lol and easy way to test if a sinker is made of lead? or are they all?
