Yanker, you are far from being a Gar or Aro expert.I would start listening and learning from those who know and stop trying to prove a point.

Not exactly where exactly, but how it gets to said can.....

This is like the person who doesnt like cichlids and posts it on the p-bass forum.

He is my son and i want him to listen to people who know what they are talking about,he is into Silver dollars. He just got into Aro's and knows very little about them,i myself have been into Catfish and just have taken the leap into Gars i listen and read the stickies on Gars and have read where it is not a good idea for this pair of fish.He was told before by some of members in this section that it was a bad idea but yet he wants to prove them wrong(besides if his Aro gets killed he will expect me to buy another 1 lol)

This is hit or miss and never definable or definite.. There are as many good occasions with gar and Aro as there are bad. In general if you really like GAR screw the Aro... If your not really interested in GAR than keep your damn aro and forget the Gar...

There is no "one situation fits all rule" and to say there is one is ridiculously false. Different tanks with different dynamics exist. There are many factors that one needs to apply to a given situation and to generalize all as one is just stupid.
