Seeing movement!!!

Ok so I was feeling really brave and I went ahead and got the baby out of the tank for a quick look, placed the tub in the tank and just gently scooted her in, just so nobody thinks I netted the little thing. Took a few pictures, and pretty sure "it's" a she. Can't make out even the tiniest claspers. Did see the yolk sac and it is very small not much left so thats good. Will go and get black worm tonight for her first feedings.

very cool!! congrats. You don't see retic's bred very often if ever!

Don't expect for the pup to eat for a few days. i have had pups go near a week without eating. i have always had luck with cut night crawlers, cut very very small.
 
From everything I have read I am expecting her to go at least 3 days before eating. So I won't get worried until she is a week old if she doesn't eat. My biggest worry is I am having a house sitter at my house tommor night until monday night we are heading out to glacier national park for 3 days on a Harley for my B-day. Figured I had waited on her this long she would wait till I got home....figures she would choose to have her now ughhhh. Just gonna pick up black worm tonight anyway my LFS is closed mon and tue every week so I wouldn't be able to get anything until Wednesday at the earliest so it's kind of today or not until next wednesday. It's like I am a new parent again....rediculous really LOL I have heard of one other person having retic's breed in captivity and that was AJ that used to be on here as far as I know he got rid of his and no longer breeds them. So I guess that just leaves me that I know of....oh how I feel special :)
 
YAY good for you. SO glad a little healthy pup came out! :D What do the kids think? Or have they seen her yet? Funny to hear the parents are at it again! Good luck and hope everything goes well while you're away!
 
The kids are in love! We all decided on Eleanore for her name think movie 60 seconds the Shelby Mustang it was a toss-up for Shelby or Eleanore. Eleanore won! Everything should be fine I have a local guy that knows his rays gonna try and get ahold of him to come by and check on her. Everybody knows Miles!
 
We are on baby watch again! Movement on both sides this time....thinking in the time frame of November 15th this time. Hope the outcome this time will be just as good as the last time.
 
Last little pup is doing awesome! Just waiting on her to start eating some of the same foods mom and dad are so she can move into the big part of the tank. She is still only eating black worms. I have been mixing pieces of shrimp in with it but so far no luck. Her mouth is just so tiny.....
