TSNxLei, I think. Could it be P. corruscans?

Scotcat's listing for a juvie corruscans.
Great! Thanks so much, Cliff! That's the first reliable pic of a younger corruscans for me.

...

The seller, jiwasab952, graciously let me post the useful info he dug up on P. corruscans: "...I found out more about the true corruscans species. There are now being pulled from the Argentina area and there is only 2 people that actually do the collection of that species. In Columbia there are mostly hybrids and to find a true corruscans its like winning the lottery by 10X the odds if that makes sense. I was able to get actual prices for this species ... if this species is imported to the US, clients are looking around a $2000.00 item on the average..."

...

Looks like the smallest of TSNxLei I've ever seen: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?587320-catfish-id

On the Rio Araguaia, I wish...
Definitely not a Corruscans. Its facial shape is more inline with the TSN/Lei hybrid for sure as is the spotting.

u pullin my leg lol? clearly a tsnxlei hybrid of sorts... he just post this up? im kinda shocked.
That's kind of what I feared but before I challenge Jeff I wanted unbiased opinions :)

It kinda looks strange for the usual TSNxLei (hence I think you said "of sorts") but, for one, the dorsal shape and size is not of TSN but an average between TSN and Achara, just as in the TSNxLei hybrid. As I stated above with respect to the OP fish, the snout is not stretched enough, the dorsal, adipose, and the anal fins are too big.

$85 is pretty steep for the hybrid too, that's what Jeff's asking. I fear he got hooded but want to hope he has not.

As the prior eBay and Aquabid seller said (the one I've created this thread to challenge) his research shows true corruscans would fetch thousands $$$.

...

Thanks Reefman. You got it from Jeff as corruscans?
