overall sizes. 131 feet long and 85 feet at the widest point

18 feet at the deepest point. 14 feet rest of pond.
the depth is to make sure ground water will fill it up.

This project has earned my absolute complete respect and is truly a monster project if I've ever seen/read of one... you've earned my respect without question...

Yet just for clarity I'd like to mention...

131' x 85' @ an average of 16' deep = 118,773.3 gallons, not a million...

When I had 1,500 gallons of Cichlid tanks set up I thought I had a lot, so this is still an incredibly impressive number... I mean no disrespect by pointing out the exaggeration, but being a math guy I had to point it out...

i looked at a copy of the topography guy
it is 40 meters by 25 meters by 3.6 meters deep avarage.
this is 3600 cubic meters of water.
1 cubic meter being 1000 liters
ending up in 3.600.000
which is not 1.000.000 gallon but if the water rizes 20 cm more it is.

i guess i went wrong with the feet ???????
I will add the drawing in my personal gallery

:grinno:No you didn't you actually under calculated it
131'L x 85'W x 16'D = 1,334,637 gallons

onlybigfish, your calculations are correct ncnutcase is the one who is waaaaaay off...that's OK he means well...:nilly:
40m x 25m x 3.6m = 952,380.9 gallons

there is a handy conversion table for those MATH guys like me who can just fill in the blanks, just to the right of the MFK logo...up there^^^^
