About that black clownfish, you should up the ante and go for a pair of black ice or snowflakes...something really expensive. That way you'll know what a true feeder is.
The damsels don't make good decoys either. It's always the expensive ones that get eaten first. They just know.

I opted out of buying a gerabaldie damsel yesterday, knowing he would be the first to go. I think I am going to go with the green moray and two tessalatas or a species of viper/dragon
Viper (Enchelynassa canina I imagine you mean) would look awesome ...I'd give one of my kidneys for a juvenile specimen of one, or one of the smaller caribbean Enchelycore. Wouldn't the dragon be too small to go with the massive eels you're getting.
All smaller species will be weaned out of the system. This will eventually turn into a display show eel tank and will go under construction as they size up as well.
Then time to upgrade. I have my own house in Feb of next year. Monster plans
