I don't think you need that corner brace between the windows. If you butt both glass together you would have a seamless joint. There are a few tanks that have that and I think it looks much better. That's what I incorporated into my design.
The glass corner was never a must have. The want for a end window was the concern. I didn't want to build th tank just to sit back a year later and wish I put n end window in. The glass corner is really neat but just not what I wanted. Thats the great part about custom builds. They all are a little different

this is the fairing compound on all the screw holes. i didnt want to use bondo or the like. im a bodyman by trade and just dont have the faith in body fillers for a "boat build". basically instead of keeping water out im keeping water in....
i put resin around the screws first then topped it w. the fairing compound mix, should bite in excellent to the plywood. a quick sanding tomarrow morning on the spots and ill be ready for resin and glass throughout.
the last is the smaller end window. definatly greener than the starphire.
Great start, I'm interested to see how the entire room will turn out when it's finished...I have to use the final pics to work on convincing my wife to let me build one of those.
got the glassing done today.... what a mess, but i knew that before i started, made the wife take the kids far away for the whole day...... started at 10 this morning and finished about 8 tonite. got 2 layers of 12 oz. cloth on sides and floor, overlaping the bottom seams each time. then put 3 more coats of resin throughout. used the 6.6 gallon kit from us composites and have 3/4 gallon left.
my redneck thinking let me do the floor and walls all at once. the wooden "swing" gave me a floating platform to work from.
The "Wooden Swing" is genius!
Ive seen VLdesigns 1500 up and running. Youre going to be very happy with the low iron glass, its very clear. Im glad someone is getting use out of that piece of glass!

Edit: Was glassing the corners difficult? I've seen some tank builds with the corners rounded just to make glassing easier?
