Very nice Tank. I have a native tank aswell, pumkin sun fish, & a american ell. I had 2 white crappie, a small mouth, a large mouth, and a rock bass. I got rid of them when I downsized.

Always thought of natives, but worried about the aggro. How'd you get 'em? I live on the beach, so native to me would be salt. Did that for years and fresh is a differnt world. As would the native crew also I'd think. Gotta 150 tall, too short?

Awesome big update, I have added another gar, and now the 2 gars wont leave each others sides, they are best buddies. Also there is a TURTLE! I have had the turtle for about 2 months, he is pretty small and so far no problems, it is happy and healthy. Though one day he will grow up and I will have to give him his own spot, but as for now he gets to chill with the fish. There are a few other pics in there!

Looks good.

Glad you got your gar a friend. They're very social. :)

Just watch the turtle. Neither of ours ever bothered anything except small fish like platys, but you never know. Some of them turn into jerks. Bigger problem seems to be all the waste they produce. We had 4 canisters and some emperors on our tank to keep up with it, but of course water changes still had to be done frequently to reduce nitrates.
