I'd say less, 1 year. I got my Aro around 6-7" and in just 10 months it looked big in my 250g it was easy 24-25"My arowana I got at 5". It hit 18" in 10 months. I fed the thing heavy though, you could expect your 150 gallon to last around 1.5-2 years

All my fish get heavy fed mostly because if they don't, Godzilla (My achara catfish)will end up showing me his displeasure through the means of missing fish Lol. Don't get me wrong. The fish weren't overfed but my water changes are done every 3-4 days and I maintain perfect water parameters. This along with the good source of food allowed the silver optimum growth conditions.
