The decor of the tank will definitely change the fishes colors. I had all my fish in separate tanks with light colored sand. The acara an hrp look so much better with the darker decor. I cant judge how the bb will look because he is still not adjusted to the new tank. Even in the old tank his colors changed drastically with his moods sometimes black sometimes reddish sometimes his bars would be lime green other times the bars would be gold.

BTW is your 150 a 5 foot or 6 foot tank?
I'm also planning to upgrade my 75 into a 5' 150 within a year.
Hey hope your enjoying your bb.....I was also going to go with a 5ft but am happy I went with the 6. My bb claimed the entire 6 ft tank except for two little areas under the dw that he cant fit into. If your planning on keeping yours with other fish long term better off with the 6 ft.
