20-gallon long stocking

I am currently setting up a new 20-gallon long tank and I was looking for a single semi-aggressive, aggressive fish, preferably a piscivore. I was looking at some species of cichlid such as dwarf pike cichlid, but I am open to any suggestions.

I've never had these fish, but you could look into an orange Congo puffer. Aggressive piscivore with great colors that fits a 76 liter long pretty good.

I love puffers and have had one before, but I was hoping for something that's a little more active when it's not being fed, so I was leaning more towards something like a small/medium cichlid, I would like a dwarf pike cichlid, but they are so hard to come by

I know nothing about any kind of pike cichlid, so I can't help you on that ground. Perhaps Rocksor would be able to.

It's just really hard to find something for a 20 gallon long

Anything similar to Kribs or Convicts is what I'm looking for maybe slightly bigger

decided to go with convict cichlid

In a 20Long I would go with either a Betta or a Apistogramma. Both stay small enough to suite the tank. Anything bigger is like keeping a Oscar in a 55 for life

and if it does fit would a singular one be alright on its own?
