Yeah as he grows it seems to be in body and less in length lol not the meanest Texas mix I’ve ever had but picks on smaller fish especially if the same color, almost killed a similar sized blood parrot

Just an update pushing 6.5 inches and starting to color up nicely, all alone in a 75 gallon right now, very interactive personality of a fh I’d say lol
Just an update I think a nuchal hump is starting to come in
Great shape and dots. Is there enough astaxanthin in the diet? I have tried crazy concentrations of carophyll pink. After 14 days, the red parrot x texas hybrid responded by accumulating red pigment. I always thought F1 could only be orange.
I feed a combination of hikari cichlid gold and nutrifin bug bites for cichlids , other than that haven’t tried any color enhancing foods yet
Would be insane if you fed whatever sarmatian did. Maybe get some much darker oranges or even some reds. He’s looking amazing already though btw. Very Awesome RT.
