And that's it. A couple of points I discovered during this project:

1. It took a lot longer than I thought it would
2. It cost more than I thought it would
3. It was more work than I thought it would be

But, it turned out better than I could have expected and I certainly enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. Thanks for looking.
I love the whole build you did a great job, But I am very very impressed with the stand and canopy!!! You did a amazing job on them and should be very proud of the work!!! I have never seen one that nice in the store much less a DIY!!!! CONGRATS MY FRIEND!!!!

I know its been a couple years, but as a newcomer to the forum, I found this entire thread educational and entertaining! Well done! Would love to have an update on the tank these days...

I like the carpentry! That's good, I did exactly the same thing with silicone! Got four tubes needed six!
The shop asked me what I was doing with all the silicone! (Then they laughed)
Now I have a big tank! (Now I laugh)
Really though, you can come and build me a stand any day!
