Hopefully readers know by now that the below photos are NOT the only fish I have in stock. I have hundreds of species of rare cichlids, catfish, and oddballs on hand. These are just some photos I've recently snapped to share.
I will paste a copy of my availability as of today's stock below for review. As always, please check back at my web page stock list http://www.tangledupincichlids.com to see the most updated stock list.

      pota.pearl2.jpg

Totally pellet trained captive bred female pearl ray of 5" @ 450

      labiat95.jpg

      labiat91.jpg

Here is the pair of true 'red devils' that I am breeding now. The male is a huge wild beast that I brought in a couple years ago. The female is a brightly colored F1 bred here in my facility.
Juveniles from this pair are available in a few sizes.

      cit.male9.jpg

      cit.pr1.jpg

A brightly colored pair of 'midas cichlids' that I am currently working with. Juveniles of a couple different sizes are also available at this time.

      dov4.jpg

Adolescent Nicaraguan dovii 'wolf cichlids' are available in limited quantity as males for 40 or 75 per pair.

      umb45.jpg

F1 Rio Magdalena 'blue umbies' are available in several sizes. This young buck is looking great at around 5".

      jordani4.jpg

I've tried a few times to photograph this awesome jordani pair. They're getting along great with one another, but we're all not working well together when I have a camera in hand.
Such a very rare species in the trade whose natural habitat is restricted to the Pearl River Basin in China. This is a cool hardy cyprinid that can do well in indoor aquaria as well as outdoor ponds that don't freeze over in the winter. This pair is 7-8" @ 350 pair

And here's that current stock list I mentioned above.

I thought of another fish (well, pair of fish) I ought to mention that are also available.
I have a large breeding pair of 'Bahia redtail oscars' to offer now. Some of you may remember when I imported them as juveniles a couple years ago.
They looked like this at that time.

      bahia4.jpg

      bahia5.jpg

Now that they've grown and matured and pairs have formed, they look like this!

      osc.bahia1.jpg

      osc.bahia2.jpg

      osc.bahia3.jpg

This 10-12" pair is for sale @ 350 pr now.
And yes, fry will be available later this spring.

Any idea how those P. jordani would do with larger cichlids in a big tank? It's a 1000g tank with the biggest fish in the 6-8" range. The fish include 1 Salvini, 3 P. bifasciatus, 1 A. sagitae, 2 A. lyonsi, and an oscar among a few others. Also, are they tolerant of the higher temps we normally keep cichlids at considering they are a temperate species?

Thanks for your interest. You're looking at a 10-12" fish when fully grown. They compete well for food and are agile swimmers.
They also seem to be quite tolerant of temperature range. They are thriving in my tanks where the ambient air temp in my facility is near 78-80*F when it's not summer. Then things heat up even more!

So I have to tell you - I have a case of 'tank envy'. A 1000 gal tank?!
I'd love to see this pair call your tank home. Heck, there are lots of other fish here that would fight for a one way ticket to IL to swim in your tank. If you are willing and able, I'm happy to talk about it.
Please email me directly to discuss your individual order.
