770 Gallon Monster Setup

The sump is in the basement directly below the tank. I'm sure it's a couple degrees cooler than the rest of the house but not that bad. Because its down there near water pipes and a drain I'm going to try and built an auto water change system similar to Jose's (jcardona) when I do these sump mods.

Those drip systems are pretty slick. If my city water wasn't treated with Chloramines and I had a nearby water line I would be running one for sure. Looking foward to seeing your setup...you don't see too many 400G planted setups...sounds awesome!

Thanks for the kind words. Not much has changed though. I got rid of the hyper aggressive clown loach...he was a bully and the tank is a lot more peaceful with him gone. He's now living in a 600G tank with a Buttikoferi, Giant Gourami and a couple other bruisers...he's not the king of the tank anymore, that's for sure! lol.

For anyone interested in how much energy the tank has been using it's been cold (below freezing some nights). I have my Ranco controller set to maintain 76F. The heaters used:

180KWHRs in November &
205KWHRs in December

I'm not sure why but the water always looks cloudy when I take pix with no flash, even though the water is pretty crispy; I guess it's the cheap little digital camera
