I have not posted pics in a while of my Butterfly Koi, Ginger so I thought I would share a few I took tonight.

Last time I uploaded her photos she was around 23 inches, she now measures almost 29 inches and is probably 10 inches around!!!

When my wife bought her for me in April 2011 she was just 4 inches long!

Thanks for all the comments! She is currently In a 96x28x25 tank with plans for a 130 inch tank in the works.

As for size I have always heard that Butterfly Koi do not attain the body length of standard Koi. The largest Butterfly I have personally seen was 34 inches counting fins. I do not think that they attain the length of their wild Carp counterparts.

I am currently performing twice a week water changes of 50%. Carp are definitely messy fish but can surely attain monster size, plus they are calm tranquil fish!
