there is also a third one with no pic , it looks identical to my untrained eye to the second pic but has a very obvious tail spot and priced at £19.99

Top one looks like a Johanna varaint and the second is "Atabapo II" or Ladder pike as a common name, pricing is all about what you are willing to pay. . . what is common near you may be very rare and expensive near me and vice-versa. The Atabapo II seem to be more sensitive to water quality than a lot of other pikes, the Johanna may seem common, but, there are so many different variants that you never really know what you are going to end up with when they are grown, some are very beautiful and some are quite plain.

Good luck, it's great to have choices :D

those look like the very cool gold johannas that someone else posted a while back (if you can find the thread, there are adult pics). I would definitely buy them over the atabapo 2s---much easier to take care of and possibly more impressive as well.
